Clear glass and ultra clear glass both belong to float glass family.
Clear glass has a bit of a green due to its finish, These higher iron levels in glass produce a greenish tint appearance, which gains prominence as the glass thickens. This is a result of the natural presence of iron oxide from elements such as sand,sand is one of main glass ingredients.
Ultra clear glass,also called ultra white glass,super clear glass, Ultra-clear glass is made of low amounts of iron, compared to standard clear glass. For this reason, ultra-clear glass is also called low iron glass, It contains approximately one quarter of the iron content of standard clear float glass, providing an ultra clear glass crystal clear and pure appearance.
1. Ultra clear glass has much lower glass self explosion ratio.
2. Ultra clear glass has more pure color.
3. Ultra clear glass has higher transmittance and solar coefficien.
4. Ultra clear glass has lower UV transmittance.
5. Ultra clear glass has higher production difficulty,thus cost is higher than clear glass.
